There are places where you simply eat. And then there are places where you feel at home straight away: that is what happens here.

We are Francesco Librandi and Cristina Barariu, held together for more than 20 years by one great love and one great passion for cooking.

Our idea was never a business plan drawn up at a desk. It came from something that has always been part of us: sharing our passion, our sense of good company, and the pleasure of things made with love.

We welcome our guests in a setting that is familiar and genuine, in our own home, where the table has always been the meeting point.

We have always loved putting together dinners and lunches for friends and family: cooking something good, being together, laughing, talking and sharing the moments that stay with you.

In time, what was simply a passion turned into something more.

Our cooking tells the story of this land, its traditions and the flavours of Calabria, while leaving room for imagination and the wish to experiment. Every dish is made with carefully chosen ingredients, giving priority to quality and to what the season offers.

From starters to pasta, from fish to meat, all the way to homemade desserts. Each menu is designed as a run of flavours to be shared and remembered.

But for us the food is only part of the experience. At the table people talk, laugh, raise a glass and meet one another. That is the spirit in which we open our doors: so every guest feels welcomed, looked after, and part of our table.

Francesco is an entrepreneur and runs a wine estate in Calabria, in Cirò Marina, in the province of Crotone. It is work that ties him deeply to this territory and to the culture of wine.

A love of good food and a love of wine meet naturally at our table, where every dish finds the right match and every occasion becomes a shared one.

He is the chef of the house: he is the one who brings our dishes to life, experiments, creates, and puts all his passion into the kitchen.

Cristina is always beside him as the dishes are prepared, and she looks after the most delicious part: the desserts. Because a good evening at the table can only end with something sweet made with heart.

That is how Frà&Crì in cucina – Home Restaurant came about: from the pleasure of cooking for others, from the wish to share what we love, and from wanting to turn a simple dinner into an evening you remember.

Our house has a well-kept garden for dinners outdoors, and a large indoor room with a fireplace for the winter.

For those who would like it, there is also a bar corner with cocktails, music, karaoke and entertainment.

We host dinners, lunches, parties and special events, creating menus tailored to the occasion and to what our guests wish for.

We chose to open our doors because we believe cooking is far more than what we carry to the table. It is welcome. It is sharing. It is family. It is the pleasure of being together.

And when our guests sit down, we want them to feel at home: a place to eat well and feel well.
